What do the plans include?

Starter includes the rich-text toolbar, inline editing, edited audit trail, and note templates. Pro adds note history, full-text search, bulk apply, scheduled notes, and email notifications (5 sites). Does it work with both Classic and HPOS order storage?

Yes. NoteCraft declares HPOS compatibility and handles both storage modes. The plugin detects which mode is active and loads on the correct admin screen in either case.

How does note history work?

Every time a note is edited, NoteCraft saves the previous version as comment meta. Up to 10 revisions are kept per note. Click the History link on any edited note to view the full version trail — rendered content, editor name, and timestamp.

How do scheduled notes work?

Use the Schedule toggle below the note editor to pick a future date and time. NoteCraft saves the note as a pending WP comment and fires it via WP Cron at the scheduled time. Pending notes are listed on the order with a Cancel button.

Can I edit notes added before I installed NoteCraft?

Yes. The Edit link appears on all private order notes regardless of when they were created. Plain-text notes open in the editor as plain text and you can add formatting when you save.

What does the note visibility toggle do?

Every note shows an Internal or Customer badge. You can click the toggle to flip an existing note between internal (private to staff) and customer-facing — without deleting it or triggering a spurious customer email.

Will rich-text notes break anything in WooCommerce?

No. WooCommerce already renders order note content through wp_kses_post() which allows safe HTML. NoteCraft's editor produces only that safe subset — bold, italic, lists, and links.

Does it load anything on the customer-facing store?

Nothing whatsoever. All assets are admin-only and enqueued only on the order edit screen. Your store's page speed is completely unaffected.

What file types can I attach to a note?

Any file type allowed by your WordPress installation. Images display as 60×60 px thumbnails inline; PDFs and other documents appear as a labelled file link. Files are stored in the WordPress media library — removing an attachment from a note detaches it without deleting the media file.

Which plan should I choose?

Single store with one admin writing notes? Starter covers the core workflow. Team doing bulk outreach or time-shifted notes across a few stores?
